Helping showcase the beauty of Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, the park service has hosted monthly hikes. This month, the hike centered around mothers and families.

Hundreds of individuals turned out for the Mother’s Day Hike, which was geared for the entire family. While past hikes included a bit more strenuous walks, on Sunday, guests were treated to a nice stroll through the park.

The hike is part of Fort Lincoln’s 12 month, 12 hikes challenge. Next month, there will be two hikes. The first on June 4, for National Trails Day, and will be a 5k walk/run. The second hike is scheduled for June 19th, and is titled, “Take Day to the Park Hike.”
